Our client is currently seeking a Permanent Chief Commercial Officer to join their Executive Leadership Team in Spain. The CCO will play a pivotal role in driving profitable growth across key product categories, honing market strategies, and strengthening customer relationships within the Environmental Packaging sector. The successful candidate will spearhead business development initiatives, lead margin enhancement projects, and coordinate cross-functional teams—including working closely with the New Business Development Manager to seize new opportunities in Europe and beyond. This role demands a comprehensive understanding of sales, marketing, and market analysis, with an emphasis on catering, food-to-go, or fresh food sectors—particularly within rigid trays—and experience in the Food Packaging industry is highly advantageous. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering strategic plans, fostering key partnerships, developing innovative go-to-market approaches, and maintaining a sharp focus on financial and legal integrity. The preferred profile for this dynamic position includes a multi-lingual professional with over 5 years’ experience in new business sales, particularly targeting clients in the UK&I, France, Benelux, or Nordics regions. Demonstrable success in engaging with catering, food-to-go, or fresh food customers is essential, with previous exposure to the Food Packaging sector—especially in rigid trays—being a significant plus. You will be a natural negotiator with exceptional interpersonal skills, able to build rapport across all levels of an organisation, and possess high-level analytical acumen. Educated to degree level in Business Development, Marketing, or a related discipline, you will have a proven track record of developing and executing strategic sales plans, managing large accounts, and leading teams. You should be highly adaptable, self-motivated, and comfortable working under pressure to meet ambitious targets, whilst maintaining a collaborative and innovative approach that aligns with the client’s core values.
